Well, it looks like Bengals offensive lineman Levi Jones will be making a return to the starting lineup this monday night against New England. Jones, who has been a starter for his entire career when healthy has yet to crack the starting lineup this season for a variety of reasons, most of which are unknown.
Here is a quote from Bobbie Williams concerning Levi from the Dayton Daily News.
“Put it this way,” right guard Bobbie Williams said, “the stars are getting aligned for Levi to be in there.”
And on the flip side of the coin, Rudi Johnson has been listed as out on the most current injury report with his hamstring issues. Kenny Watson gets the start, his first since his rookie season in 2002 in Washington.
Our thoughts – Good to have Levi back in the good graces of the coaching staff, but this will not be something I think you notice too much on Monday night. Unless of course, Levi does his impression of a turnstile, which he is known to do on occasion. The Bengals will miss Rudi, but this is the right move. He gets this week to rest and the bye week next week as well. Hopefully he is back at full strength for week 6.
