Rudi banged up, Bengals look to Watson, Dorsey

Uh oh, looks like Rudi could be down this week against the Patriots on Monday Night. Bad news for the Bengals, not watson1.jpg because Rudi is a world beater, but because it means Kenny Watson could be carrying a full load. Nothing against Watson, he obviously ran hard in the 4th quarter of Sunday’s loss and even scored, but he is not the answer at RB for this team.

Neither is newly signed DeDe Dorsey, though he showed some flashes in the preseason last year for the Bengals and did a good job on special teams for the Colts last year. I honestly might have a bit more confidence in Dorsey and Watson sharing carries on Monday night than relying on either one of them to carry a full load. Watson has not carried more than 20 times in a game in 5 years!

Either way, it is looking bad for Rudi this week, though with the extra day of rest he could be ready on Monday Night, look for this to be a game time decision for the Bengals.

In other injury news, looks like Ahmad Brooks will be back on the field this week after missing last weekends game and most of the Cleveland game as well. With the LB core in disastrous shape, this can only help.
